Continuing God's work in the waters of death

On Sunday, August 29, there were only 22 people at the 9am service at the Christ Church Episcopal Cathedral in New Orleans.

A small turnout was understandable - Hurricane Katrina was heading towards the city, and it was time for action. Prayers could wait for later.

When a mandatory evacuation order was given, the dean of the Cathedral, Reverend David duPlantier, cancelled the 11am service and, at the urging of his wife, packed his car and headed for Little Rock, in Arkansas.
