Was Katrina a Messenger?

Looking and sounding more like Somalian drug lords had taken over the city, arsonist-set fires increased and shots rang out in the city of New Orleans. Overwhelmed police attempted to engage the roving gangs of AK-47 toting thugs.

Many of the police had already suffered gunshot wounds and some had been murdered. Then, the thuggery that had previously been relegated to the cloak of night began to occur openly and blatantly in the sunlight. As rampant rape and looting continued in this ever-sinking-city, depravity seemed to have won over goodness, basic humanity and even common sense. One has to wonder if some of those who refused to leave New Orleans and escape Katrina's fury had these purposes in mind, from the beginning. Mercifully, the National Guard and branches of the US Military were finally requested and they arrived to rescue people and bring order to this societal devolution.
