The Bishop of Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) Diocese of Abuja, Most Reverend Nicholas Okoh has called for a united and detribalized Nigeria, in order for the country to grow and developed to its desired height in the face of the challenges confronting it.

Okoh who made this call at the official flag-off of the 25th Anniversary Celebration of the church said that the challenges affecting the nation, which is as well affecting the church is the issue of tribalism and the absence of unity.

According to the clergyman, the issue of unity in Nigeria is what the church has taken upon itself to teach the people during the anniversary celebration, adding that it wants to unite Nigerians and make the issue of tribalism less attractive... the rest
“You will agree with me that we are in a country where we are not really united. If we are truly united, Nigeria would have made much progress. So, we want to emphasize it, we want to teach it and we want to make everybody accept it and give it as a gift to the nation and anybody who has gone through the teaching would have no difficulties in relating with anybody from any part of Nigeria.
