CA Legislature Takes Aim at Christian Colleges: Heresy and Humility...more

Muslim Mom of Murderer of 13-Year-Old Jewish Girl: My Son is a Hero   Muslim heroism is defined somewhat differently than in the civilized world. In the civilized world, rushing into a burning building to save a 13-year-old girl makes you a hero. Among Muslims, stabbing a sleeping teenage girl in her bedroom makes you a hero...

Albert Mohler: Heresy and Humility—Lessons from a Current Controversy  ...As Harold O. J. Brown warned, the gates of hell often come very close to the church. Confusing the questions endangers the church, and no faithful theologian would willingly risk that danger...

California Legislature Takes Aim at Christian Colleges  ...Christian educational institutions in California will be open to anti-discrimination lawsuits from homosexual and transgender students if a new bill is signed into law.

Senate Bill 1146 is intended to restrict Christian colleges and schools from discriminating on the grounds of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression. Schools could face a loss of accreditation status with the state of California resulting in their students’ inability to qualify for state and federal grants and loans.

SB 1146 would narrow the number of California colleges and universities that are able to claim exemptions from federal Title IX anti-discrimination law, applying the exemption only to seminaries and schools of divinity. At least 43 schools have received a Title IX exemption nationally, six of which are in California...

Seven Refugees With Active TB Sent to Idaho
...This makes Idaho the seventh state to confirm to Breitbart News that recently arrived refugees have been diagnosed with active TB.

The other states in which recently arrived refugees have been diagnosed with active TB include: Louisiana (twenty-one), Florida (eleven), Colorado, (ten), Indiana (four), Kentucky (where nine were diagnosed in one county), and North Dakota (where four refugees who resided in the United States for less than five years were diagnosed in one county).

Idaho is one of fourteen states that have withdrawn from the federal refugee resettlement program where the federal government has hired a voluntary agency (VOLAG) to resettle refugees under the statutorily questionable Wilson Fish alternative program...

Venezuelans are storming supermarkets and attacking trucks as food supplies dwindle   ...The fight for food has begun in Venezuela. On any day, in cities across this increasingly desperate nation, crowds form to sack supermarkets. Protesters take to the streets to decry the skyrocketing prices and dwindling supplies of basic goods. The wealthy improvise, some shopping online for food that arrives from Miami. Middle-class families make do with less: coffee without milk, sardines instead of beef, two daily meals instead of three. The poor are stripping mangoes off the trees and struggling to survive.

“This is savagery,” said Pedro Zaraza, a car-oil salesman who watched a mob mass on Friday outside a supermarket, where it was eventually dispersed by the army. “The authorities are losing their grip.”...

EU chastises Britain for having too many stay-at-home moms ...The Council Recommendation report notes that “The percentage of [UK] women who are inactive or work part-time due to personal and family responsibilities (12.5 %) was almost twice as high as the EU average (6.3 %) in 2013” and calls this a “social challenge” that the British government should work to eliminate by providing more state-funded child care.

The report also finds fault with the fact that more women work part-time than men, observing that, "the difference in the share of part-time work between women (42.6 % in 2013) and men (13.2 % in 2013) is one of the highest in the EU."

The EC's recommendations prompted indignant responses from Brits who say the EU has no business criticizing mothers who choose to stay at home...
