Stone From High Priest’s Breastplate Believed Found; Egyptian youths escape Sharia inferno...more

Egyptian youths escape Sharia inferno
...Mocking Islam or mocking the prophet of Islam spells doom. In Egypt you will be arrested, home and property confiscated, and coerced to “force emigrate” from your town. Then count on a five-year prison term. This was exactly the penalty for four Coptic Christian school boys, ages 14 through 17, and their teacher.

Modernity grazed the 7th century when a lost cell phone turned up in the hands of a sectarian street thug ready for Sharia justice against its owner...

Prophetic Lost Stone From High Priest’s Breastplate Believed Found After 1,000-Year Journey  ...He noted the inscriptions in ancient Hebrew script of what he described as “the equivalent of our ‘B’ and ‘K’.” He identified the style of script, dating it to be from the year 1000 BCE, give or take 200-300 years.

In 1994, Dr. Joan Goodnick Westenholz, who served as Chief Curator at the Bible Lands Museum in Jerusalem, examined the stone. She concluded, “It is a unique object that has no similar or identical counterpart; it is the only one of its kind in the world.”

Dr. Goodnick Westenholz believed that the gem was “priceless”, estimating the date of the stone’s production to be approximately the 7th century BCE. She noted the inscription “in the shape of a possible letter is a ninth century form of an archaic Hebrew letter bet.”

In her notarized report, she observed next to the letter bet “what can be perceived as the image of a wolf.” She noted that the wolf corresponded to the blessing Jacob gave Benjamin...

Turkey: Christians in Refugee Camps Forced to Hide Faith from Hostile Muslims

Baptist, Methodist, Episcopalian and Presbyterian Clergy Participate in Rally for Abortion Many Judeo-Christian leaders speak out against abortion, but the few who advocate for abortion often are the ones who get the most media attention.

On Monday in Kentucky, pro-abortion clergy held a rally at the State Capitol to advocate for abortion and other issues, the State-Journal reports. The event was called the Higher Ground Moral Day of Action, and it was held in conjunction with other rallies nation-wide.

Led by clergy, the event highlighted the upcoming election and called on candidates and elected officials to uphold “the most sacred moral principles of our faith and constitutional values.” These included “the economic liberation of all people; ensuring every child receives access to quality education; healthcare access for all; criminal justice reform; and ensuring historically marginalized communities have equal protection under the law,” according to the declaration...

“Catholics” for Choice Launches Ad Campaign Saying Women Abort Their Babies “in Good Faith”  ...The pro-abortion group “Catholics for Choice” has ads running in at least three states that target Catholic voters, Mercatornet reports. The full-page newspaper ads wrongly claim that abortion is a “Catholic social justice value” and urge voters to support abortion and taxpayer funding for it...

How Is the Godless West Working Out?
...The West has been in moral decline since World War I — the calamity that led not only to World War II but to the death of national identity and Christianity in most of Europe.

There has always been one exception — the United States. But now that is ending. The seeds of America’s decline have been sown since the beginning of the 20th century; and they came to fruition with the post–World War II generation — the baby boomers.

Radical and aggressive secularism and atheism have replaced religion in virtually every school and throughout public life in America.

We have gone from President Abraham Lincoln reading the Bible every day to Alaska Airlines feeling forced to stop placing a Biblical verse on its meal trays. In a hundred years, we’ve gone from near-total Biblical literacy to near-total Biblical illiteracy. One wonders whether half of America’s college seniors could correctly identify Cain and Abel, or more than one in ten Americans could cite the Ten Commandments. We have gone from President Franklin Roosevelt proclaiming in World War II speeches the need to save “Christian civilization” to a virtual ban on an American president mentioning the word “Christianity.” And as is widely noted, an American is no longer supposed to wish strangers a “Merry Christmas” and must refer to a Christmas party as a “holiday” party...
